Lisa Ann Murphy is a seasoned commercial real estate attorney with nearly two decades of experience advising landlords, developers, institutional investors, and national and regional tenants on complex leasing and development transactions. Her practice centers on retail leasing and shopping-center development, including representation of nationally recognized leaseholders and high-end luxury brand tenants in sophisticated, multi-million-dollar deals.
Lisa serves as a Senior Counsel to Wilson Cribbs + Goren, where she supports the firm’s transactions team in negotiating and closing commercial real estate matters across a wide range of asset classes, including retail, industrial, office, and mixed-use projects. She regularly drafts and negotiates leases, amendments, assignments, subleases, termination agreements, letters of intent, and related transactional documents. Over the course of her career, Lisa has been involved in leasing transactions covering more than 75 million square feet of commercial space nationwide. Lisa’s leasing practice extends to most states across the country. She is well-versed in the nuances of most states’ laws in area of commercial leasing. More recently Lisa’s practice has been focused on representing major landlords with national portfolios in connection with their development and leasing transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Lisa held senior positions at well-regarded commercial real estate law firms and served as an independent consultant to property owners and managers. She brings particular strength in managing risk, navigating restrictive covenants and easement agreements, and resolving complex title, survey, and operational issues that arise in large-scale developments and leasing portfolios. Clients value her pragmatic approach, attention to detail, and ability to move deals forward efficiently while protecting long-term business objectives.
An alumnus of The John Marshall Law School, Lisa graduated with honors after earning a master’s degree (also with honors) in French from Middlebury College. Fluent in French, she offers a global perspective and disciplined approach to commercial real estate transactions.
