Katelynn “Katie” Nichols developed a passion for real estate before law school while working for a Houston-area real estate developer, where she gained firsthand experience with commercial real estate transactions, land development, and the business considerations that shape projects from acquisition through completion.
Inspired by that experience, Katie attended the University of Houston Law Center with the goal of building a practice focused on real estate and land development.
Throughout law school, Katie further developed her experience by clerking with respected firms whose practices centered on real estate development, public finance, eminent domain litigation, and municipal utility districts. She also served on the Board of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team and worked with the Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic at the University of Houston Law Center, further strengthening her negotiation, advocacy, and client counseling skills.
Katie earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, graduating cum laude, and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi. She later received her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center, graduating magna cum laude. Outside of the office, Katie enjoys traveling, checking out new restaurants in Houston, and cheering on any Ole Miss sports team.
